Atlanta, GA – The 2011 Scovie Awards honored Hotlanta Hot Sauce with a second place award in the medium hot sauce category. Hotlanta Hot Sauce won for their signature Sweet Southern Heat. Their winning product was applauded because of it’s great flavor and heat.
Hotlanta Hot Sauce is located in Atlanta, GA and products can be purchased online at www.hotlantahotsauce.com . They offer bottles in quantities of 1, 2 and 12.
More than 600 products from around the world competed this year for top Scovie honors. The Scovie Awards typically honors one product with an overall grand prize award. Barhyte Specialty Foods’ Saucy Mama Creamy Horseradish and Poco Dolce’s Super Chile Toffee Squares were separated by less than a thousandth of a point, leading to the first two-way tie in Scovie Award history. The top award in advertising and marketing went to Crazy Uncle Jester’s for their product logo and labeling.
Dave DeWitt, the “Pope of Peppers,” is still impressed after all these years. DeWitt states, “This year I was blown away by all of the great submissions. Some are out of this world and the new ideas and flavors never cease to amaze me. The competition gets better and better each year.”
The Scovie Award winners can be seen and tasted at the 2011 Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show March 4-6, 2011 at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico. For more information please visit: www.fiery-foods.com.
